‘Information is the resolution of uncertainty’
Claude Shannon
System integration - the principle and technology of creating automated systems for management of companies or organizations. The main thing is not concrete implementation of technologies, but satisfaction of customer's needs. When the emphasis is not on the theoretical side of the question, but on the solution of applied tasks.
The result of work on system integration is an automated system.
An automated system (АS) - a set of economic and mathematical methods, technical means and organizational complexes that provide rational management of complex object (enterprise, technological process). The most important goal of building any AS is to increase the efficiency of management based on the growth of managerial productivity and to improve the planning and flexible regulation techniques of the managed process.
Designing and creating an automated control system consists of several stages:
- designing an information system,
- installation of engineering systems,
- installation of computer systems,
- software implementation,
- maintenance.
All stages are interconnected. One flows from another. If this relationship is not taken into account - the efficiency of the system being created is significantly reduced. When automation begins with building infrastructure, without thinking about the programs that will work on it later, this is not the best approach.
